Dog walking was never a career path I had in mind…
Over the past 3 years while living in Korea, I’ve worked at various companies and have learned a LOT- but I was never able to find a deeper meaning to what I did.
About 2 months ago, I quit my job working as an International Account Manager for a fashion brand and perused through “Craigslist gigs” in hopes of finding a part time gig while I studied for this crazy analytics test required for Uber’s marketing manager position. (I suck at Excel). I clicked on “dog walker” for the hell of it it, and while reading it, I realized I know this person! (A dear friend and one of my first roommates after I decided to live in Korea! 🙂 I messaged him saying until I find my next job, I’ll walk his dog, Prince.
circa 2012 🙂 we were both lil babies
here is us now 🙂
Prince has changed my life because I became more active than I’ve been in a LOONNGGG time. I went from sitting on my ass all day in offices with no real sunlight to walking about 10 miles per day/20,000 steps. I lost ~ 7-8 lbs (3-3.5 kg), my face got clearer, my energy was brighter, my diet was more nutritious, and my body got more Lebronze James (Congrats Cavs). I was sleeping at 3-4 AM for weeks just watching videos on Cesar Milan. I learned how to make my energy more authoritative and Prince went from walking ME to walking by my side (most the time hehe).
Thanks to Fitbit, I screenshot my daily activity and sent it to Prince’s papa as a way for him to see how much we were walking. What I like about Fitbit is that it sends me weekly reports too so image below is what a good week for me looks like. (To date, I’ve walked 406 miles and 978,617 steps). almost at a millii!!!! *cue weezy*
Since then, I’ve gotten a few more pups which is how I came to doing this thang foreal. I’ll introduce my other buddies in an upcoming post . If you’ve made it this far, thank you very much for your time 🙂 i hope you continue to come back
